
Werner Tueckmantel, Ph.D., is a synthetic organic and medicinal chemist who graduated from the University of Cologne in 1984. With four decades of hands-on experience, he has designed and synthesized biologically active molecules across areas including excitatory amino acids, Lycopodium alkaloids, inositols, dietary polyphenols, HDAC inhibitors, nicotine analogs, and serotonergic ligands.
He has collaborated with Dr. Alan Kozikowski in drug discovery for more than 25 years and his work appears in 49 peer reviewed publications and 30 patents and patent applications. As a consultant and member of the Scientific Advisory Committee, he provides PTX with chemistry expertise for design of novel theranostic drug candidates.
